The first game of WBS United and already against our archnemesis of first games: Tiki Takumi. It started quite promising with a strong defensive performance. The 13:0 from the previous season in mind, we did hold steady and did that with only 9 players due to many players not yet back in Germany after the semester break. Only two goals were conceded in the first half but what hurt much more was the injury of our new player Hayelom. Starting with so much motivation and then not being able to continue playing after merely 24 minutes hurt the player and the team as well. Fortunately after the match he was feeling better and we hope to see him join us on the pitch again next week. But for the time being not substitutions should take a big toll in the second half. We decended into chaos, conceding shots left and right and finally ending up at the same score as last time with a devastating 13:0. Nearly poetic but not fair for the effort the team brought to the pitch. We hope for a better chance next week with two games back to back, as our team will be complete for the first time. In the end the big crowd of WBS fans and the fun of the game made up for the results and everybody was happy to be back for another season!

Takumi lässt WBS United alt aussehen – Offensivfeuerwerk mit Stil

Es war ein Spiel wie aus dem Lehrbuch – nur dass Takumi den Stift geführt hat. Von der ersten Minute an hatten unsere Jungs WBS United im Schwitzkasten. Marius eröffnete das Spektakel mit einem Schlenzer, der so präzise war, dass selbst der Torpfosten applaudieren wollte.

Dann kam Waldi. Fünf Tore, jede Bude schöner als die letzte – der Mann war auf einem anderen Planeten. Rocko setzte noch einen drauf und schnürte endlich seinen ersten Doppelpack der Saison.

Hinten hielt Marek den Kasten sauber – kein Gegentor, kein Zittern, nur Ruhe und Ordnung. Andy hingegen führte einen Kleinkrieg mit dem Aluminium – drei Mal Pfosten, aber kein Ball wollte rein.

Fazit: Takumi souverän, spielfreudig und eiskalt. So darf’s weitergehen.
